Connie (Shanks) Brubeck, 65, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 2, 2018 at her home with her husband Dan at her side. Connie was born September 5, 1952 in Clay County, MO to William H. and Virginia L. (Clint) Shanks. On April 11, 1970 Connie married the love of her life, Danny R. Brubeck, at the First Christian Church of Platte City. To this union came Tonya M. Brubeck and granddaughter Kyleigh. Connie was very artistic and loved various crafts. She used these skills for 15 years, as owner/operator of her florist shop in Platte City, “Friendly Flowers”. Connie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by: her husband Dan of the home; her daughter Tonya and granddaughter Kyleigh Lewis of Platte City; numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family. A visitation will be held 5 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City. A graveside funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, at the Platte City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the American Heart Association.
