Jackie “Jack” Johnson, Sr., 82, of Platte City, MO, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Jack was born April 20, 1935 in Wagner, OK to Bidie Joe and Ruby Beatrice (Collins) Johnson. He married Sandra Sue Price on September 26, 1966 in Miami, OK. Jack spent 21 years with the United States Coast Guard, retiring as Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed fishing and metal detecting. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Gracie Mae Owens and Marie Yarborough. Jack is survived by his wife; children Sherry (Keith) Lee Boyle of New Orleans, LA, and Mavis Johnson David (Jane) Johnson, and Jack (Dee Dee) Johnson, Jr. of Platte City, MO; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother Everett (Wanda) Johnson of Wagner, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, Jack will be inurned in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
