Noella Palmer, 82, passed away January 25, 2016 at her home in Kansas City, MO. A visitation will be held 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO; followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service. Cremation will follow. The family suggests contributions be given to the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society. Noella was born February 19, 1933 in Albuquerque, NM to Cleo Everett and Cleodia Ruth (Smith) Lynch. She married George Don Palmer on October 21, 1953 in Albuquerque and the couple lived in various areas, including Portals, NM, throughout George’s military career; finally moving to Platte City, where they spent many years to follow. Noella worked for 32 years as a secretary and school bus driver for the Platte County R-III School District. She was a member of the Vivian Road Church of Christ, loved spending time with her family, and spent much of her time actively volunteering for various organizations. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband George; and 2 sisters Ginger Lynch and Onella Allen. Noella Is survived by: 4 sons Patrick (Deb) of St. Louis, MO, Mike of K.C., MO, Dan of K.C., MO, and Tom Palmer of Jefferson City, MO; 2 daughters Cynthia (Gary) Sappington of Kearney, MO, and Tracy Palmer of K.C., MO; a brother Bill Lynch of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
