Lawrence “Larry” Stock, 92, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his home in Platte City, MO. He was born July 1, 1924 in St. Joseph, MO to Francis and Agnes (Magahey) Stock. Larry attended Christian Brothers School in St. Joseph; immediately following, served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. Larry married Fonda E. See on October 31, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. He worked as a Union Crane Operator for 35 years, and also loved farming. Larry was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Weston, MO; and enjoyed dancing and roller-skating. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother, and 2 sisters. Larry is survived by: his daughters Linda Pine of Overland Park, KS, Terry Garberg of Overland Park, and Larrie Jo Todd of Trimble, MO; his grandchildren Clint (Laura) Pine, Brittney (James) Pine, Jackie (Jason) Coleman, and Cody (Shianne) Todd; his great grandchildren Dylan, Darian, Vance, Alivia, Westin, Brock, and Kinsley; his sisters Rita Burns and Mary Lou Boeh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City; followed by an 11:00 a.m. Celebration of Life, with military honors, at the funeral home.
