Kristin Lynn Stockstill-Chitty, 36, passed away January 28, 2017 at her home in Kansas City, MO. Kristin was born March 25, 1980 in Manhattan, KS to Daryl and Kathy (Gray) Stockstill. She was a 1998 graduate of the Smithton, MO High School; and later earned her business degree from Missouri Western State University of St. Joseph, MO, graduating in 2002. Kristin married Jeffrey Hope Chitty on May 25, 2002 in Kansas City, MO. She enjoyed being a homemaker, actively involving herself in various crafts, and repurposing things for use in the home. Kristin loved her pets, and treated them as her children. She was an avid Royals and Salvador Perez fan. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Stanley Stockstill, and her uncle Dan Stockstill. Kristin is survived by: her husband Jeff of the home; her dogs Gus, Amos, and Bella; her cats Body, Milo, and Tessa; her parents Daryl and Kathy Stockstill of Columbia, MO; her mother in law Nancy Chitty of Weston, MO; her sisters Jill Stockstill, and Trisha (Jason) Gregory; and her niece and nephew Max and Mia Gregory, all of Columbia, MO. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be given to: K.C. Spay and Neuter, or to a college fund for Kristin’s niece and nephew, check payable to Trisha or Jason Gregory.
