Robert “Bob” Napravnik, 77, of Platte City, MO, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. Bob was born December 21, 1940 in Chicago, IL to James and Mary (Hahn) Napravnik. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy. He married Lorraine Alice Peters on November 3, 1966 in Kansas City, MO, and together they had two children. Bob worked for several different airlines, doing everything from loading baggage to working the ticket counter. Before retiring, he spent eight years as a custodian with the North Kansas City School District. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister Rose Walsh, and an infant sister. Bob is survived by: his wife, of the home; sons Jason (Shelli) Napravnik of Platte City, MO and Lee James Napravnik of Annandale, VA; granddaughters Alisha (Paul) Giarratana and Taylor Rose Napravnik; and great grandson Paul William Giarratana. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
