Mary Edna (Bryan) Burnett, 85, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at her home in Tracy, MO. Mary Edna was born February 25, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to William C. and Mary (Pryor) Bryan. She was a graduate of the Platte City High School, and was a lifelong resident of Tracy. Mary Edna married Otis Burnett on November 15, 1951 in Platte City. She worked for over 40 years as a teller for the Wells Bank of Platte City. Mary Edna was a member of the First Christian Church of Platte City. She loved the outdoors and spent her time gardening and frequenting garage sales. Mary Edna was preceded in death by her parents; and 5 brothers. She is survived by: her husband Otis of the home; her son Bill (Melanie) Burnett of Platte City; her 3 granddaughters Becky, Ashley, and Lindsay; 1 great granddaughter Kylee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Contributions can be given to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
