Laura “Susie” N. Cockrill, 93, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Riverstone Retirement Community in Kansas City, MO. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO; followed by an 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service, at the Platte City Cemetery, Platte City, MO. Memorial contributions can be given to First Christian Church of Platte City. Susie was born November 25, 1922 in Platte City, MO to Joe and Zula (Boydston) Nash. She married Jack Coffey Cockrill on September 16, 1942 in Ocean Park, CA. Susie was a member of the First Christian Church of Platte City. She worked at Wells Bank for many years. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and especially her grandchildren. Susie was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, brothers; Aaron and Joe Bill Nash, sisters; Lorene Naylor and Elaine Walker. She is survived by her son Chris Nash (Cindy L. Johnson) of Smithville, MO, daughters; Cindy Lu Blinn (Dude) of Fort Myers, FL, Nancy Jo Harry (Jack) of Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren; Laura Flusche, Kelsey Bright, Jack Tyler Harry, Nathan L.
