Rosemary L. Jones, 75, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at her home in Platte City, MO. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Platte City; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service, at the church. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston, MO. The family suggests contributions be given to Integrity Hospice. Rosemary was born April 1, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Foster and Alice (McCaughey) Swank. She was a graduate of the Lee’s Summit High School. Rosemary spent most of her life in the Weston and Platte City areas. She married Paul B. Jones on February 17, 1979 in Weston. In 1999 they bought a home together in Fort Myers, FL; enjoying the beach for around 8 months each year. Rosemary was a member of the Weston Christian Assembly Church, later attending the First Baptist Church of Platte City. She was a member of the “Elite” Card Club of Weston; but primarily considered herself to be a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, and cooking Sunday dinners. She also worked for many years as a sales assistant for Hiatt Auction Service of Weston. Rosemary was preceded in death by: her parents; 3 brothers Otto, Forrest, and Cecil Swank; and 2 sisters Betty Jackson, and Anna Mae Lever. She is survived by: her husband Paul of the home; her son Rick (Jennifer) Toy of Weston; her daughter Leticia Wood of Weston; and her 3 grandchildren Payton and Paxton Toy, and Schafer Wood. She cherished and adored her grandchildren—She lived for them.
