Obituary for Terry Lee Hough

Terry Lee Hough passed from this temporal life to his forever home with the Lord on May 17, 2018, in Topeka, Kansas. He lived most of his adult life in Topeka after returning wounded serving our country and the people of Vietnam as an infantryman in the United States Army.

Terry was born to John “Jack” and Dorothea “Dee” Hough on the 27th day of April, 1947, in Winslow, Arizona, the fourth-eldest of eight children. He graduated from Park Hill High School in 1965 and enlisted in the Army shortly thereafter.

He is predeceased by his parents; his oldest sister, Judy (Bob) Mazzarella of Bohemia, NY; a younger brother, Marty (Darlene) Hough of Kingsville, MO; and a younger brother, Judd Hough of Kansas City North, MO.

Survivors include his oldest brother, Jack (Joan) Hough of Stroudsburg, PA; Richard “Dick” (Jean) Hough of Visalia, CA; younger sister Nancy (Gary) Martin of Platte City, MO; and youngest brother Eric (Brandie) Hough of Fruita, CO; as well as nieces and nephews from coast to coast and locally Carey (Brady) Rodgers and Heath (Holly) Martin of Platte City.

Gravesides services will be held on Monday, June 4, at 10:00 am at The Platte City Cemetery located in the 100 Block of N. Fourth Street, Platte City, Missouri.

The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all those who showed Terry their love and care in so many ways throughout his stay at Brighton Place West of Topeka. We also wish to acknowledge Cary Standiferd, attorney at law and conservator for Terry, for not only his legal care as well as his personal concern for our loved one over the years. Thank you all so much!
