Obituary for Carol Robin Kossen

Robin Kossen, aged 60, died peacefully on July 27, 2018 after a brief struggle with brain cancer.
Robin attended Platte County High School before attending Penn Valley Community College where she studied nursing.
In 1976, Robin married the love of her life, Bill Kossen. They resided in Platte City, MO. Robin worked for the Platte County School District for many years prior to moving on to the Park Hill School District where she retired from in 2014.
She was a member of the Vineyard Church - where she would take her grandchildren every Sunday.
She was an avid traveler, motorcycle rider, bargain shopper, and horror movie connoisseur. Her real and abiding passions, however, were her family and friends.
Robin is survived by her husband Bill Kossen; son, Billy Kossen of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Sara Keene of Pleasant Hill, MO; sister, Kim Carney of Savannah, MO; brothers, Russell Duncan and Jack Duncan of Platte City, MO; four beautiful grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
She gave all of us so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always paving the way for us. We will all work hard to reach the standard you set. Goodbye for now, sweet mama, wife, sister, and friend. YOU WERE SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to St. Luke’s Hospice House.
