Obituary for Fred Bierschbach

Fred Bierschbach, 64, of Platte City, MO, died Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Fred was born May 5, 1955 to James and Mary (Tower) Bierschbach in Mount Pleasant, MI. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1974, and then joined the US Army. He worked for the Leavenworth Bureau of Prisons as a guard before retiring and then going back to work as a guard at Cushing Hospital. He married Patty Ann Koechner in Weston, MO. Fred was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and enjoyed fishing with his wife, Patty, and her granddaughter. He loved spending time with Jack and Ruth Ann DeSelms, and shared so many fond memories. Her family welcomed him and he was such a blessing to be with. He was such a kind man, and loved Patty Ann so much. He is preceded in death by his father. Fred is survived by his wife Patty Ann Koechner; mother Mary Bierschbach; sons Trevor and Jamie Bierschbach; siblings Keitha (Alvin) Cain of Colleyille, TX, Peter (Susan) Bierschbach of Midland, MI, Lydia Bierschbach of Beal City, MI, Donna (Bob) Rogers of Magna, UT, James Biersbach of Phoenix, AZ, Carl (Lisa) Bierschbach of Waterford, MI, Clara (Ron) Baldwin of Remus, MI, Mary (Heather Beherens) Bierschbach of Fenton, MI, and Alex (Jennifer) Bierschbach of Weidman, MI; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Weston, MO, on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
