Linda E. Hay, 63, of Platte City, MO, died Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS. Linda was born August 3, 1956 in Kansas City, KS to William Dwayne and Shirley Louise (Buttron) Whaley. She graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph, MO, and later married Raymond Eugene Hay on November 30, 1982 in Belton, TX. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Platte City, and was a regular member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. Linda was kind and loving, and always found a way to help other people. She loved her Chiefs, but most of all she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Alonzo Hay. Linda is survived by her husband; parents, of Colombia, MO; daughter Camie (Chris) Lutz of Platte City, MO; grandchildren Summer and Sage; sister Cindy (Max) Gilleland of St. Joseph, MO; brother Dwayne (Mary) Whaley of Harrisburg, MO; mother-in-law Helen Hay of Platte City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. A visitation will be held 10-11am, Thursday, September 26 at the First Baptist Church of Platte City, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery will follow. Memorial contributions can be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
