Jerry M. Martin, 72, of Faucett, MO passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at North Care Hospice in N.K.C., MO. Jerry was born January 14, 1947 in Stoutland, MO to Joseph Melvin and Georgia Mae (Blackburn) Martin. He married Mary Sue Bywaters on September 3, 1982 at the Christian Assembly Church of Weston, MO. Jerry spent his working life constructing homes and commercial buildings. He was a talented master of all trades, and enjoyed tinkering with various projects, helping his friends, and loved mowing and taking care of his home. Jerry was an especially talented woodworker and in his earlier years, he loved boating on Pomme de Terre and Lake of the Ozarks. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son Larry Don Martin. Jerry is survived by his wife Mary; his children Melinda (John) Ward of K.C., MO, Deanna (Dave) Long of K.C., MO, Karla (Jared) Leclair of Tioga, TX, and Kyle Martin of St. Joseph, MO; his grandchildren David, Josiah, Ross, Megan, and Riley; his great grandson Jason; his siblings Gary (Nancy) Martin, and Kenny (Tina) Martin; and numerous extended family and friends. A visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City; followed by a 2:00 p.m. funeral service. Interment will follow at the Camden Point Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given to the Family Snack Fund at North Care Hospice or the Camden Point Cemetery Association.
