BRIAN W. MIDDLEKAMP
Brian W. Middlekamp, 62, passed away June 6, 2020 at his home in Kansas City, MO. Brian was born March 17, 1958 in Louisville KY. The family moved around a lot when he was young, and he became incredibly involved with his schoolwork. So much so that he was Valedictorian of his high school class. Brian continued his education at Kansas State University, where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He started career work with Bendix in Kansas City. Over the years he worked for Allied Signal, and Honeywell. Odd thing never changed jobs; the companies changed. He worked in Kansas City at the "Bendix" plant. Since the work they did was classified, no one ever knew much about what he did. He was not supposed to discuss his work, and he never did. He enjoyed the companies golf and bowling leagues. He participated in these right up to the time of his passing. Engineering was his profession, but stock investing was his passion. He made thousands of stock transactions over the years, and even won the Steve Forbes investment game one year. Not bad considering he competed with countless thousands of investors during the game. Brian was also a member of the Leawood, KS United Methodist Church. He will be missed by his family, including brother Rick D. Middlekamp, his co-workers, church family, and friends. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
