Obituary for Pamela Denise "Pam" Maggio-Devlin

Pamela D. (Maggio) Devlin departed this life on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Born on January 15, 1969 to Eugene Maggio and Doris (Termin) Maggio-Tarpenning of Kansas City, MO, she was one of three daughters. Though Eugene was her biological father, she was raised by her mother and step-father John Tarpenning. Pam, as she was known to all, was quick with a quip, absolutely never forgot anyone’s full name or birthday, and was a friend to all animals. Pam lived her life in northland Kansas City, MO, attending Park Hill High School, class of 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Jerry Devlin, sisters Catherine Files and Angela Wheaton, and her son Zachary Williams. She leaves behind many other family members, including two nephews: Sam Tarppening and John Cole, and two nieces: Chelsea Cole and Shelby Cole. In 1994, she met Jerry. After nearly two decades in each other’s company, they decided to make it official, marrying on January 10, 2011. Through her 27-year-relationship to Jerry, Pam’s family swelled to include three step-children: Gary Devlin, Loretta Pine and Vance Devlin, as well eleven step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great-grandchildren. Pam also had a number of close, long-term friends, including Wyona, Jada, Angie and Robin. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Platte City, 17385 MO 371, Platte City, MO. Memorial service will follow at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Pamela D. Devlin’s memory to Wayside Waifs.
