Helen Dorsey Pate, 77, of Weston, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the North Care Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Helen was born December 27, 1945, in Weston to John Elmer and Helen C. (Brown) Hall. She was a lifelong resident of Weston and spent most of her working life as a waitress for Fannie’s Restaurant in Platte City, MO. Helen also spent many years as a volunteer for United Services of Platte County. She loved gardening, and working with her plants and flowers. Helen was also a dog lover, and had many pet dogs throughout the years. She enjoyed sewing, and made various clothes and pillows; and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents. Helen is survived by her children John E. (Kris) Harmer, Marie (Larry) Munsterman, Renee (Bobby) Sartain, Letha (Juan) Salas, John C. Pate, Jr., Regina (James) Smith, and Lorrena (Chris Morales) Pate; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2023; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. Memorial contributions can be given to the charity of one’s choice.
