Obituary for Kevin Jameson

Kevin Jamison 61, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in his home.

A wonderful father, son, brother, husband, grandpa, uncle and friend. Kevin lived a life full of love, and friendship through the years. He was one of the most likeable people one could ever meet. A man of many friends, with an unmatched personality, his positive energy would light up any room.
Kevin grew up on the family farm north of Platte City, Missouri, where he learned what hard work, and country living was. He was very proud of his background, and the family he came from. He married Kelly, and had three boys, whom he loved tremendously. A jack of many trades, he worked hard for his family. He could fix up just about anything, and was always helping someone complete something. He was a man you could count on.
The best father one could ask for, he instilled in his boys the values he gained growing up, and pushed them to grow to be successful men.
Kevin loved his grandchildren, and knowing the Jamison name would continue on brought him a sense of pride.
He also took pride in being a father figure to many impressionable youth that graced his life. He loved them all as if they were his own. Kevin truly did amazing things in this world that will never be forgotten by those who knew him. He touched many hearts, and will be dearly missed…
He was reunited in Heaven with his wife Kelly; son, Greg Jamison; mother, Phyllis Jamison; grandmother, Helen Louise; sister, Kay Gibson; niece, Kelly Knighton; and, nephew, Justin Heidi.
Kevin is survived by: sons, Corey(Amanda) Jamison, and Zachary Jamison; father, George Jamison; grandchildren, Owen Jamison, and Evan Jamison; bonus grandchildren, Quinton, Madelyn, Alivia, and Avery; sisters, Vickie McCune(Ron) Green, Lynn (Chris) Sylva, Julie Hines, and Shelly (Craig) Arnold; brother, Greg Jamison; nieces, Carrie Weimer, and Jeri Rogers; nephews, Trey Green, Jason Gibson, Kyle Knighton, Kole Knighton, Trent Arnold, and Tyler Arnold.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Rollins Funeral Home, 1106 E. Branch Street, Platte City, Mo. Visitation will start at 3 p.m., and services will be held at 4 p.m. You may send flowers to the address listed above if you wish for Kevin’s service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
