It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of William “Bill” Gordon Paige II, 65, of Edgerton, MO, who passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Leadville, CO. Bill was born March 5, 1951 in St. Joseph, MO to William Gordon and Valjean Delores (Lamar) Paige. He attended Oak Park High School in Kansas City, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bill worked as a Graphic Designer for over 30 years, and a Service Technician for 10 more. On July 1, 1972, he married Carol Diane Cliff in Kansas City, MO, and they spent 44 years devoted to each other, their love growing for each other every day and a great inspiration to others. Bill enjoyed spending time in Colorado, snow skiing, jeeping, genealogy, and was a master of all trades. Bill was a beloved and endlessly devoted son, husband, and father and was adored by family, friends, and coworkers. He was the man you called if you needed help figuring things out. There are many, many people whose lives were deeply touched by his wisdom and selflessness, and none of us will ever be the same. His gentle, loving guidance will continue to shine as a beacon in this sometimes dark world. We look forward to seeing you again, Bill. We’re sure you’ll have the place fixed up real nice!
Bill’s father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother; wife; sons Ryan Paige (partner Lily Berkley) of Parkville, MO and Dustin Paige of Roeland Park, KS; daughter Autumn Paige Moler (husband Daniel Moler) of Olathe, KS; grandchildren Gracie, Quinn, Nyssa, Haven, and Dragan; brothers Roger (Kim), David (June), and Larry Paige; sisters Dawn (Brian), Cherry (Shawn) Paige-Miller, and Kim Eshnaur; K9 children Penny and Heidi; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the New Market Christian Church, 18 Mill St., Dearborn, MO followed by funeral service at 11am. Interment with military honors to follow at New Market Cemetery.
