L.R. Vaughn is the second generation son of the Vaughn Funeral Home's founders, Walter R. & Billie S. Vaughn. He is a lifelong resident of Weston, and a 1958 graduate of the West Platte R-II High School. L.R. is a graduate of William Jewell College, & the Gupton-Jones School of Mortuary Science, earning degrees in biology & mortuary science. He is a member of several professional and community service organizations including: National Funeral Director's Assoc; Missouri Funeral Director's Assoc; Weston Rotary Club; Masonic Lodge; & Shriners. L.R. is also a member of the United Methodist Church of Weston, whose personal interests include: golf, fishing, hunting, & r/c airplanes.

Scott D. Vaughn, along with his wife Jaci, are third generation owners of the Vaughn Funeral Homes. Scott is a lifelong resident of Weston, and a 1981 graduate of the West Platte R-II High School. Scott attended Missouri Western State College & Maple Woods Community College,earning a certificate of supervisory principles, & a degree in business. Afterwards, Scott earned his degree in mortuary science from the Kansas City Kansas Community College. Scott is a member of several professional and community service organizations including: National Funeral Director's Assoc; Missouri Funeral Director's Assoc.; & Weston Rotary Club. He is also a member of the United Methodist Church of Weston, whose personal interests include: fishing, hunting, shooting sports, archery, equestrian sports, r/c airplanes, and general aviation.

Sue D. Vaughn is a second generation co-owner of our funeral homes. Alongside her husband, L.R., she has continued the tradition of providing professional, caring service. Sue was raised in Bartow, Florida & is a 1959 graduate of Central High School, in St. Joseph, MO. She attended William Jewell College, and is a licensed funeral director. Sue is a member of several professional and community service organizations including: National Funeral Director's Assoc.; Missouri Funeral Director's Association; & Daughters of the American Revolution. Sue is also a member of the United Methodist Church of Weston, whose personal interests include her family & golfing.

Brad Vaughn, Funeral Support Staff

Walter Bradford Vaughn is yet another member of the Vaughn family who offers his service & support through our funeral homes. Brad is a graduate of the Wentworth Military Academy, and a member of the United Methodist Church of Weston. Brad's personal interests include: hunting, fishing, shooting sports, archery, and r/c airplanes.
