Fun times at Platte City HS

Sincere condolences on the death of Kay Jean.  We met at the High School when I was doing my student teaching for Tim ???, the talented history teacher there.  It was a mid-life career change for me, so I was much older than the average student teacher.  Kay Jean was very bright.  We used to play bridge with another couple but I cannot recall who.  I did meet her son at one point.  KJ was a compassionate and wonderful human being, and a good cook.  I can picture her now: she would bite down on one fingernail as she contemplated her next play at the bridge table.  She didn't bite her nails, but when she was thinking she would hold that one finger with her teeth.  Fond memories of a terrific person.
